APPROVAL OF CONTRACT WITH BRIGHT FUTURES LEARNING AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY TO PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO TARGETED STUDENTS OF TITLE I SCHOOLS FOR 2006-2007
Description
Bright Futures Learning will instruct small group students (5 students to 1 teacher) twice per week after school hours. Tutoring in reading and math will be provided to targeted students at a rate of $50.00 per hour, not to exceed $950.00 per student, and will be paid from Title I funds as stipulated in No Child Left Behind.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the contract with Bright Futures Learning to provide SES tutorial services to targeted Title I students.
